Once your spa is drained, wipe down the surfaces with a soft clean cloth paying special attention to the water line. Do not use solvents, waxes, or sudsing cleaners to clean or polish your spa. You can use a low-sudsing cleaner for stubborn smudges but after doing so you must thoroughly rinse out the spa with warm water to clean out all of the residual soap.
Once it is clean and dry, use a simple garden hose connected to a normal tap water supply to fill the spa.
Note: If your water contains heavy metals such as iron, copper, or magnesium, use either the AquaClara Pre-filter or a suitable de-mineralizer between the garden hose and the water faucet.
-
Connect the garden hose to a cold tap water faucet. Do not use hot water or softened water to fill your spa
-
Connect the other end of the hose to the pre-filter
-
Run water on the ground until the water through the pre-filter comes out clear
-
Remove the filtration canister cover and insert the pre-filter into the filtration canister
-
Continue filling the spa through the filtration canister until the water level is about 1 inch above all jets
-
If required, add tablets to the filtration canister as described in step 2 of this FAQ
